The grand inaugural ceremony of the 69th All India Congress of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (AICOG) 2025 took place at the state-of-the-art Jio World Convention Centre, Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai. Drawing over 8,000 participants, including 120 international and 500 national faculty members, the event marked a pivotal moment in advancing women’s healthcare in India.

The day began with the prestigious C.G. Saraiya CME in the morning, followed by 10 specialized committee workshops that provided participants with hands-on learning opportunities. The evening featured the much-anticipated inaugural function along with the installation ceremony of the new FOGSI Team 2025, led by Dr. Sunita Tandulwadkar. The highlight of the evening was a fashion walk curated by renowned Indian designers, aimed at raising awareness about anemia prevention in the country. The walk saw participation from celebrities, bureaucrats, and key figures in healthcare and civil society.

Over the next three days, delegates will have access to an intensive scientific program across 12 parallel halls. With orations, symposiums, keynote presentations by distinguished experts, and engaging panel discussions, the conference promises to foster knowledge exchange and innovation in key areas such as reproductive health, gynecological cancers, infertility, and menopause.

Sonu Nigam, with his decades-long career and timeless Bollywood hits, will captivate the audience on 10th January 2025 in a special concert. This cultural highlight supports ‘Anaemia Mukt Bharat’ and raises awareness about preventing female cancers, adding purpose beyond the conference’s academic focus.

Delegates can also explore the vibrant BKC area, which offers premium dining and shopping experiences. The conference will conclude on January 12 with a valedictory function and prize distribution.

This remarkable confluence of experts, ideas, and innovations underscores AICOG’s enduring commitment to advancing healthcare for women across India and the world.
