Adding a new chapter to the glory of Varanasi, the 23rd Joint National Conference on Pulmonary Diseases is being organized by the Indian Chest Society and the National College of Chest Physicians at Varanasi. This most-awaited pulmonology event of the year was inaugurated at the Deendayal Hastakala Sankul (Trade Centre and Museum).
To everyone’s delight, this grand gathering of India’s renowned pulmonologists was inaugurated by Her Excellency, the Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Smt. Anandiben Patel virtually. She particularly applauded the role of pulmonologists in the management of the COVID-19 epidemic. Prof. Randeep Guleria, Director, AIIMS, Delhi was the guest of honor. In addition, several dignitaries from the field of pulmonology graced the dais by their presence, including Dr. J K Samaria, Dr. D Behera, Dr. B O Tayade, Dr. S C Matah, Dr. S N Gaur, Dr. Rajesh Swarnakar, Dr. G N Srivastava, Dr. Kumar Utsav, Dr. J K Mishra, and Dr. Mohit Bhatia. The eminent doctors illuminated the lamp symbolizing the formal inauguration of NAPCON 2021.
